Melissa

Accepted at the Federation of Canadian Artists 5th Annual International Representational Show (AIRS) 2014.

My first coloured portrait painting was of my daughter Melissa when she was three years old. I have always loved this picture because of the spontaneity it captured with my daughter sitting down by herself in the cat’s basket playing with her stuffed animal and how the colours of the blanket harmonized with her outfit to create an atmospheric effect.
